Random Number Generator

Quote from Azathoth on May 9, 2025, 11:08 pmThis is a simple random number generator ( from 1 to 10 ) from page 120 of Forrest M Mims Getting Started in Electronics.
The design in the book uses a 4011 quad NAND, I've used a 74HC00 in it's place and it seems to run ok.
Instructions are, close SW1 and all LED's will glow dimly. Open SW1 and a randomly selected LED will glow.
It also gives the following hint:
Increase C1 to 4.7µF and leave SW1 closed to make a sequential flasher.
