Missing something in component generation 2.0.0-Rev 260828

Copied and modified a existing .sim1 file for the 74165, to correct a PL inversion
and add another symbol with a monitored ledbar so that it shows internal stages, (debug purposes).
It only saves as .sim2 , and I cannot figure out how to add it .

Hi.
I think the component does not show because IC74L.xml says it is in ./74L but instead it is in ./IC74L/74L
Seems to me that there is a problem in your modification: Pin RST is inverted, but it should not.
Also it might be useful for you:
The simplest way to add a component just for testing is to create a "test" folder in you user data folder and add components there, each component in a folder named as the component.
Also in SimulIDE2 you don't need to add package files for subcircuits, they are embedded in .sim2 file.
Attached minimal working files for your component (add to test folder):

You don't need Test.xml to add components to test folder.
Just create a folder test (lower case) in your use data folder and move the unziped folder there.
That is all:
user_data_folder
