Circuit creation in versions 1 and 2
Quote from Mikou on February 6, 2026, 2:49 pmI created a few TTL-based circuits with version 1 and tested them in version 2.
The 74HCxxx components are no longer available, but I was able to replace them with the newer 74xxx components. However, some are still missing (74377, 74181).
So I'm wondering if I should continue developing in version 1 since everything will have to be redone in version 2.
Also, the planned release date of version 2 is important; do you have a schedule planned for 2026?I also noticed that we no longer have access to the 74 library; it's downloaded from the website. This is problematic for a classroom where internet access has been cut off. Is this a permanent or temporary change during development?

Quote from arcachofo on February 6, 2026, 7:33 pmYou can use components from version 1.1.0 in version 2.
Just put component files in user data folder.
And better choose an user data folder specific for version 2.There is no schedule. It depends on many things.
Changes are not permanent until an stable release.

Quote from Mikou on February 7, 2026, 1:18 pmThanks, that's much clearer; the components are on a different repository.
So I can properly prepare the projects and make them compatible with the upcoming v2.

Quote from arcachofo on February 9, 2026, 12:13 pmThe idea is that you will be able to use your circuits without any change.
But this is still in development and there are many things to finish.
