Using simulide 2.0 scripted component in simulide 1.1

I created a scripted component that handles communication between Simulide and a virtual industrial plant. The communication is via TCP/IP. The component works very well, but Simulide 2.0 is still unstable. Is it possible to adapt the scripted component to handle TCP/IP communication in Simulide 1.1? Simply copying the component didn't work.
