I can't seem to download on my Mac

So, I have been trying to download the last stable version, and it seems that there's an issue with downloading on Mac. I click download, select the right OS, and I get a confirmation text saying that I should check my downloads folder, but yet there's nothing on there. Can anyone help me with this issue since im going to be needing this programme for a project next week? :,) thanks the confirmation, yet there's nada on my downloads folder
