74hc193 not counting up

Hello,
I made a little circuit to play around with the 74hc193 asynchronous up/down counter. I'm super new to SimulIDE, so there might be something I overlooked, but I'm still pretty sure I wired it up correctly, because it works properly when set to count down, but when I flick the switch to count up, it just keeps repeating the most recent bit instead of counting.

Hi.
You need to use resistors with those LEDs.
If not, voltages are limited below 2.5V and 74HC193 will not work.
You can also use property "Resistance" in the LED.

I feel a bit silly now, blaming the tool for my Rookie mistake.

You can use Logic ->Other Logic ->7 seg BCD instead of LEDs.
